Being a typical kiwi kid I spent a lot of time swimming, snorkelling, water skiing or fishing.

In 1978 our family moved to Australia’s Gold Coast, another fabulous place to enjoy the outdoors.  In 1996, after seeing the world, I moved back to New Zealand and in the first week I met my husband while we were walking our dogs - yes it actually does happen!  My husband also loves fishing and introduced me to trout fishing.  Fishing the beautiful waterways in New Zealand and catching a healthy feisty trout is an absolute treat and something to never take for granted.

Our son, born in 2000, is keen on IT, sailing and fishing, he keeps us supplied with fresh fish and great stories.  Our daughter, born in 2002, has a cleaning business using only natural products, whilst studying towards a business degree.  My husband and I are usually involved in a home renovation, we recycle and reuse where possible.  Sometimes it’s nice to sit back and enjoy the result of all the hard work, but there is always another old house needing our attention.

We are lucky to have many relatives living nearby and we take every opportunity to catch up with family.  We also love catching up with our friends over a BBQ or a pot-luck dinner and a bottle or two of a good NZ red!
