Shannen commenced with Ryder Consulting Limited (the predecessor organisation to Enspire) in 2015, as a fresh-faced graduate with little business experience but a lot of knowledge that she wished to share and apply. The fact that she has been appointed to a General Management role five years later is a testament to her hard work and dedication.

The recently created General Manger role within Enspire is a strategically important position that is tasked with managing the day to day operations of the Company, and implementing the Company’s business plan and various strategies.
I look forward to seeing Shannen rise to the challenges that the position and the current Covid-19 economy provide, and to watching Enspire prosper as a consequence.

I was incredibly honoured and humbled to be offered the General Manager role for Enspire. I have been with Enspire for 5-years progressing through roles that comprised of supporting the administration, management and governance functions of the company. Enspire has always been supportive of its people forging their own career path and the foundation of my career has been developed with Enspire’s encouragement.

I am sure I will face many challenges in this new role, but I am excited to grow, and help to drive Enspire into the future.
I studied International Business at the University of North Carolina, Ashville and completed this degree in New Zealand through the Massey University extramural program. I am driven by exploring and every day I believe I have something to learn about the world around me, my place in it and how I treat others who are on their own journey.

Family and friends are an extremely important part of my life, as they both challenge my thinking and provide unconditional support. I spend a lot of time with them outside of work, enjoying good food and wine, and exploring outdoors. I was privileged to be able to represent New Zealand in volleyball (beach and indoor). It, and sport in general, is still an important part of my life, as I expect it to always be.
