2020 has been a year like no other. It has been a year of uncertainty, of change, of hardship and of fear and heartache for many, with mass devastation around the world. While a difficult year, to say the least, 2020 has taught us many valuable lessons. It has taught us that we can’t take life as we know it for granted, we must not be complacent, we must be kind and help and support those around us, and that we must be nimble and adapt rapidly to change. Within our little corner of the world, it has taught us that we are strong and that we have a lot to be grateful for.
Like many, Enspire began preparing for lockdown by establishing our workspaces at home, we conducted meetings and team catch ups by zoom, and, while not without its challenges, we quickly adapted to the new norm. During lockdown, we re-examined our structure and thought a lot about what we wanted Enspire to look like now and into the future. This resulted in some exciting changes, with the promotion of Shannen Bagge to a General Manager position and appointment of some great new team members. While we have farewelled some valued colleagues along the way during the course of the year, we have also welcomed Kristal Shaw (Admin support), George Sariak and Jesse Brennan (Planners) and have established a new ecology service area with Nicola Pyper, a freshwater ecologist, joining our team. Together we are excited and energised about the coming year, and knowing that there are many significant changes afoot at both a central and local government level, we consider that that we are well positioned to service the needs of both our existing and new clients.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our existing clients and those that we have worked with along the way for their continued support. We count ourselves as very lucky to be able to work with and for a great bunch of people and organisations. We are passionate about what we do and are grateful for all of the interesting opportunities that we have been, and continue to be provided. We wish you all a very merry, safe and relaxing Christmas and look forward to catching up with you all in the new year.
Our very best wishes!
